 Dr Raymond Khong

Sunday 6 November 2016, 2pm

At the Arden Crescent Uniting Church, Rosanna, Melbourne

$27 (adult), $22 (concession), $10 (student 16 and over), $5 (student)

Bookings may be made by phone (9457 2595) or by mail. Payment may be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or by cheque.

Come and enjoy an afternoon of nostalgia, romance, humour and simply beautiful music as we explore the lives, times, foibles and glorious songs of three inspirational and exceptional singers of the 20th century. Relive the war years with Tauber, the Hollywood glamour of Mario Lanza and the dazzling career of the sensational star who brought opera back to the people, Placido Domingo.

Tenor Raymond Khong gives voice to all three artists, accompanied by May Gavin on piano. Signature songs from each tenor include “You are my Heart’s Delight”, “Be My Love” and “Nessun Dorma”.

May, a concert pianist in her own right, will include some of the best loved piano solos, in this romance themed afternoon. Swoon to the “18th Variation” and “The Warsaw Concerto”, amongst other favourites.

This is an event not to be missed by lovers of the tenor voice and the timeless music written for it, presented in May and Raymond’s signature lighthearted style.
